The Energy of the Moon and It’s Effects

The moon has always intrigued me. I feel that the moon’s energy is completely underrated. People rarely go outside to sit under the silvery moon like they used to. I feel that television, movies, video games, and the Internet have contributed enormously to keeping us inside at nighttime. You rarely hear people comment on how wonderful the moon looked last night, do you? I believe that we are missing out on the moon’s energy. The moon puts out energy just as the sun does. For example, we know that the moon’s energy affects the tides. Tides are caused by the gravity force between the earth and the moon. Because of loss of its orbital energy to gravity from the earth, the moon is gradually moving away from earth. Here’s a fun fact for you: Did you know that the moon used to be closer to earth? It used to look three times larger than it does now. Can you imagine how huge the moon must have looked to our ancestors?

What I have come to understand is that moon energy has a much stronger effect on us than most of us realize. If you look at most calendars, you will see the symbols for at least four to six of the monthly phases of the moon (waxing crescent, first quarter, half, full, last quarter, and waning crescent). For a more complete picture, refer to almanacs, which show the phases of the moon on each day of the month, along with the times when the moon rises and sets.

Researchers at the Spiritual Science Research Foundation examined the effect of the moon’s energy on human behavior. They concluded that the moon has a definite effect on humans. “The frequencies emanating from the Moon affect the frequencies of the . . . mind of human beings. By ‘mind’ we mean our feelings, emotions and desires.” They go on to tell us:

The moon frequencies are slightly more subtle . . . than the subtle-frequencies of our thoughts but are less subtle than the frequencies of the impressions in our mind. The moon frequencies have the capacity to make the thought frequencies from the impressions in our sub-conscious mind to surface to the conscious mind. Once in the conscious mind we become aware of them.

The moon’s fullness and position determine its effects on humans. When there is a new moon, it is a good time to set intentions and entertain new ideas. The full moon has a reputation for assisting us to take action. Full moons are also said to have a strong connection to a rise in the incidence of violent crime and sleep difficulties and in the number of childbirths and accidents. Scientists report they have proven that people go a bit nutty when there is a full moon.

The Universe has made me aware of the moon cycles. I have witnessed firsthand how the energy of a full moon can affect people’s behavior. The new moon brings a sense of calm, while a full moon’s energy seems to stress people out. I believe that just as the sun provides us with vitamin D, the moon gives us its own needed energy. As a rule, we go inside when darkness falls, and we turn on the artificial light. It’s unfortunate that we don’t spend enough time outside at night to reap the rewards of the energy of our moon. The lesson here is to spend more time outside to soak up some much-needed moon energy.

While we are on the subject of moons, it is important that I mention blood moons, which describe the appearance of the moon during a total lunar eclipse. The appearance of a number of blood moons in recent times is an unusual phenomenon. A rare sequence of four blood moon total lunar eclipses, called a lunar tetrad, returned recently on the nights of April 14–15, 2014, then October 7–8, 2014, then April 4, 2015, then September 27–28, 148

  1. These eclipses coincided with two important Jewish holidays, Passover and Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles). The April 14–15 Passover blood moon and the October 7–8 Sukkot/Feast of Tabernacles blood moon took place on the exact same dates as they had on Passover and Sukkot/Feast of Tabernacles in 70 AD. Those eclipses had occurred when the Roman army destroyed the Second Jewish Temple and the Masada Military Fortress, effectively ending more than 1,000 years of Jewish rule in the Nation of Israel. Could this be a coincidence? I don’t think so. The Bible tells us in scripture that God expects us to watch for the signs in the heavens. These eclipses should not be ignored.

My husband and I were camping in early spring, when he happened to wake up around two o’clock in the morning to see a blood moon outside our window. We were a little freaked out because neither of us had seen anything like this before. The moon was full and seemed larger than normal. It was actually red, a dark, scary color red. It was eerie to see the moon blood red, and the energy that night felt strange, to say the least. My husband said that the hair on the back of his neck stood up as he gazed at the red sphere.

“There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken. At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”

—Luke 21:25–28

Two solar eclipses occurred on holidays in 2015, the first on the March Jewish New Year for Kings, and the second on the September Feast of Trumpets. It seems the signs from the heavens have begun. No one but God the Creator of the Universe knows what the future truly holds.

Man has prophesied for centuries about the end of the world as we see it now and the changes that will take place in the future. They call it the “Age of Aquarius,” the age of change, of new beginnings. I am not fearful of these times. I believe it is time for us to Wake Up! We as a society have gotten way off track. As more and more people become conscious and aware of what is truly important in life, they will see that change is necessary for our continued existence here on this planet. If nothing changes, then we are headed for destruction. So welcome the new age of consciousness! When everyone gets it, life will be much more pleasant and fulfilling.
