Having a massage will do wonders for your body, mind and spirit. I believe that getting a massage once a month for everyone should be mandatory. When we get stressed out their muscles tense up. Our whole body is full of stressed out energy. You may say, I’m not stressed out, I don’t need a massage. Most often you do. We are souls living in these shells called bodies and we need to keep our energy flowing. Being stressed out causes blockages in our energy fields. We all experience a certain level of stress in our lives every day whether we ask for it or not. The negative pent up energy gets stuck in our tissue and needs to be released from our bodies. Having a massage releases allot of that stored up old energy that’s in your bones, muscles and tissue in the body. Releasing this energy releases the stress in a person’s body. As a result you are a more relaxed, happy person when your massage is complete. I am usually a little light headed when I leave my massage as your body needs to rebalance itself. The masseuse always say, “drink plenty of water after a massage to help you from feeling dizzy’. The light headiness’ is from toxins being released from your body.
I always am concerned about the negative energy and where it all went. My hope is that all masseuse know how to clear that stuff. Be careful if you are massaging a friend or a partner that you are not taking on all their stuff. Make sure you clear yourself after the fact. This has happened to me more than once as I just wasn’t paying enough attention. My husband came home from work after having a stressful day, he had negative energy attached to him and I forget to protect myself, so I took on all of his stuff. Then I was cranky and he was fine, happy go lucky. We both laughed when we realized what had happened to us. I took on his negative energy. I am grateful to be aware of how the universe works. You need to be able to clear yourself of any negative energy that you may have taken on while working on someone.
Like most people I am usually sore after my massage, but I know that after a day or so, I will feel like a new person. As if I’ve been cleansed.
Now let me add that when you get a massage you should walk out of there feeling great, a little light headed but rejuvenated! Also, there are different types of massages for varies ailments that you may have, so consider this before booking your appointment. Most Spas offer sports massages if you are very athletic or something more subtle and soothing if that is what you desire. A lot of Spas have wonderful couple’s massages which is really fun and great for anniversaries gifts. Getting a massage does not have to be pricey either. Make a few calls. I know allot of people that go to the local massage school to get a better value. The bottom line is you need to do this for yourself. Having a massage on a regular basis, preferably once a month. You will be amazed how this one simple thing will balance your mental and physical being.
