Tomorrow is Valentines Day. It is the one day of the year when we take the time to tell that special someone how much we love them. But what it your not a couple this year? What if you don’t have a significant other? Do you just ignore the date on the calendar? Some people feel bad when these romantic holidays come around and they are alone. I think we have all been in that situation at least once in our lives. Don’t ignore the day, absolutely not! Spread your love to a child, to a neighbor, a co-worker, your parent or grandparent. It’s amazing what an impact a simple card or a phone call can make when you are remembered on this special love day. You can make a difference in another persons life.
Purchasing a dozen roses or a box of candy for your sweetheart is awesome but that’s not what people really want. People want love. You can have all the fame and riches in the world but if you do not have love in your life you have nothing. Happiness comes when you have that warm feeling in your heart and soul that somebody cares for you. When you give love to others the love comes back to you ten fold. That’s how the universe works. The love energy that you send out comes back to you. Some call it Karma, others say its God’s will, but that’s how it works. So if you are looking to bring love into your life, give love and see what happens.
I want to share a short paragraph from the Dahlia Lama regarding love.
The Dahlia Lama Says, “Ultimately, the reason why love and compassion bring the greatest happiness is simply that our nature cherishes them above all else. The need for love lies at the very foundation of human existence. It results from the profound interdependence we all share with one another. However capable and skillful an individual may be, left alone, he or she will not survive. However vigorous and independent one may feel during the most prosperous periods of life, when one is sick or very young or very old, one must depend on the support of others.
Happy Love Day!
