Does Diet & Exercise Effect the Ageing Process?

I am a true believer in having a healthy diet and doing some sort of daily exercise. This is not always easy to accomplish.

I can remember going to the gym at 6:00 am to get 30 minutes of cardio in before I met with my trainer. Then going home to eat oatmeal with nuts and 2% milk or egg whites with turkey bacon for breakfast. This was all before I drove to the office with bottled water in hand. I was obsessed. I got sooooo skinny, I had lost my girly shape, oops. So I do know you can over do it! Now I realize the key is, everything in moderation.

1 Timothy 4:8 reads;
for while bodily training is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.

So we need to exercise to stay healthy, and I have finally figured out that if I can just do some type of exercise everyday on a consistent basis and I eat healthy I feel better and I have more energy and look more youthful.
When I say eating healthy at every meal, I am referring to lots of fruits, vegetables and grains and avoiding sugars, high fructose corn syrup, gluten and red meat. Now don’t get me wrong, I will splurge and have that piece of pie every once in awhile. You have to live! But every thing in moderation. That is the Key!
It seems that a large population of the people in the United States are obese. The cause, is not a secret, it is people not eating properly and doing little or no exercise at all. So now I believe its a choice. We know what to do to stay healthy and fit, so its up to each individual person to want to be healthy and fit. Its easier for some than others but we can all make a conscious effort to change so that future generations are healthy fit adults, young looking adults.

So the question arises, does all of this hard work pay off? Do you look more youthful when you are fit and eating properly?
I feel it does pay off!
