There is so much negativity floating around in our world today it is very difficult to escape it all. I have spoken to quite a few people who don’t watch or listen to the news of the world because they do not want the negativity in their lives. I feel this is a little extreme. People need to be informed and know what is going on, but how do you stay informed and not let the negativity effect you? I believe everything in moderation. Watch the news but do not get engrossed in the drama of It all. It seems the media will tell the same negative stories over and over again and exploit the situation. If you watch the news and listen to their negative broadcasts over and over it will start to affect you and how you feel, not just your attitude but your health as well. The media is not the only culprit. There are allot of negative people as you go about your day and they are spreading their negative energy to others.
Have you ever noticed how laughter is contagious? Well the same goes for negativity, it is contagious as well. Do you have a negative person in your life? I have learned to stay away from those people as much as possible. I do not want to take on their negative energy and have it effect my life. When I do come into contact with this type of person it takes awhile to get rid of their bad vibes. Its almost like poison that rubs off on you. Many people are just not happy with themselves so they definitely do not want to see you happy. It seems once they get into that negative mode it is difficult for them get out of it, almost like getting into a rut and staying there. Do not let them pull you in! I am sure we all have someone in our lives who is always negative and tries to drag you down to their level of unhappiness. Keep your distance, as much as your can! The negativity can really effect your life. it can make you ill if you are around it for a long period of time. Now I know that that it is not always possible to stay away from every negative person you come into contact with, so I suggest saying positive affirmations as much as possible. Say them in your car while you are drivining or in the morning before you start your day. When you put positive energy out to the Universe it is returned back to you ten fold. This also tells your subconscious mind that you are expecting positive energy to emerge in your life. Meditation and prayer are also two great avenues to help bring the positive energy into your life.
I know people who wake up in the morning happy go lucky, and seem to stay that way all day long. There really is something to this. If you can say to yourself before your feet hit the floor, what a beautiful day it is today, good things are going to happen for me today! I am glad to be alive! I am healthy, happy and prosperous! What ever feels comfortable to you, your whole day will be more positive. The Universe only gives back what you put out. I have to work at waking up in a positive mood, so I know it is not easy. Most of us do not want to get out of bed and deal with the reality of the world sometimes. Its an effort to change it up and wake up with a good attitude, but try it, it really works. Make a conscious effort to wake up and say and think in the positive. It will change your life for the better.
