When your a kid growing up time seems to go so slow. It’s funny how as you grow older everything starts to speed up and things start to change. When your in school you think you will always have the same friends forever and then it just doesn’t turn out that way does it, and your surprised. I know I was.
Everything is always changing. People come into your life and people disappear form your life. New friends in high school, and college. Then you meet that special someone and life changes again. Then you have a new family that you weren’t expecting. I think God places us where we need to be to learn the most we can in every situation we are confronted with, and always with different people. I have noticed some people stay the same over the years, they never change for the better or for the worse, they just stay stagnate. Does that mean that they don’t grow and learn new lessons? I think change is good in life. All new experiences lead to growth of some kind whether good or bad.
Romans 12:2 reads :
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
I think God brings certain people into our lives at different times as we are ready to learn new life lessons. Isn’t it funny that the perfect person shows up just when you needed them. God seems to know when the time is right and just sends certain folks to us.
I can remember thinking, when will I meet the right guy for me? I had ask God specifically for what I wanted in a man. I was very impatient about it and seemed like I had to date the wrong guys to really appreciate the right one when he did came along. God, has a way of surprising us, Just when I thought I would never meet the perfect man for me he showed up. And he’s more wonderful than I could have ever imaged in my mind. Now my life is changed, for the better, but completely changed. Everything that had become the norm is now completely different. It seemed to change in a blink of an eye.
Some people do not like change and refuse to change. To me that is craziness. Whether in business or in your personal life, you have to change to stay competitive and happy in the fast paced world we live in. The people who do not change in their business are not successful. And the people who do not grow and change in their personal lives do not seem to be happy. Now, I am not saying change is easy, sometimes it’s really difficult. When a loved one dies or people get divorced the change can be something you were not welcoming. But as time progresses the change can be a very positive one and a great learning experience.
Matthew 18:3 reads:
And he said ” I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven”.
I like this scripture, it reminds us to imagine again as children imagine. To be child like, innocent as we were before we grew up and changed. The child like aspect lives in a lot of people I know and that may be how they remain young at heart. Maybe we can look at change in a positive way and know that we will grow as people as our lives continue to evolve and change.
Many blessings for now,
